Call for Papers–Conference on Early Christian Studies, University of Toronto, March 26-27, 2021

We are pleased to invite papers for the inaugural Conference on Early Christian Studies, a NAPS regional meeting co-sponsored by the Canadian Society of Patristic Studies and the Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky Institute of Eastern Christian Studies. The conference will be held on the campus of the University of St. Michael’s College in the University of Toronto on March 26-27, 2021. Our theme is “New Horizons in Early Christian Studies: Challenges and Opportunities.” Our objective is to critically reflect on the ways in which patristic and early Christian studies interact with varied methodologies, theories, and socio-historical perspectives. Our plenary speaker will be Peter W. Martens; Lewis Ayres, Robin Darling Young, and Brian Matz will also be presenting papers. We invite proposals on the conference theme and welcome any paper related to the field of Early Christian Studies.

Submissions and inquiries should be sent to Don Springer (dspringer@sfseminary.edu) and John Solheid (john.solheid@mail.utoronto.ca) by November 1, 2020. Website: www.facebook.com/NewHorizonsECS
