The Department of Theology at Marquette University will be hosting Dr. Lewis Ayres (Durham University) for the 54th Annual Père Marquette Lecture in Theology on April 7, 2024. This lecture, entitled “Christological Hellenism: A Melancholy Proposal,” is a consideration of the manner in which Christianity was formed by its encounter with the traditions of Greek thought, and a consideration of how Christian thinkers today should continue to value that formative period.

This lecture is free and open to the public and will be held at the Lubar Center in the Law School, Eckstein Hall, at 2 pm with a reception to follow.
