Job Opening-Full Professorship of Ancient Christianity and Patristics (Chair)

The Faculty of Catholic Theology invites applications for a Full Professorship (W3) of Ancient Christianity and Patristics (Chair) commencing on 1 April 2024.

The successful candidate is expected to represent the entire field of Ancient Christianity and Patrology in research and teaching. Further, we expect participation in all degree programs offered by the Faculty of Catholic Theology. Prerequisites for this position are a university degree in Catholic Theology, a doctoral degree or a comparable specific qualification in Catholic Theology, teaching skills at university level, excellent academic achievements and a productive and promising research program. With an excellent record in research and teaching, prospective candidates will have demonstrated international visibility and excellence.
