The Perseus Digital Library of Greek and Latin texts,[1] housed at Tufts University and edited by Gregory R. Crane, has several modules pertinent for scholars of Christianity. Perseus’ Greek and Roman Materials contain Greek and Latin texts with morphological analyses as well as English translations of classical and late antique texts.
The team at Perseids, whose goal is to help students and scholars to create and edit digital projects, provides innovative ways to improve the instruction of Latin and Greek to students. It also gives tutorials on how to train students to encode texts from the ancient world.
The Internet History Sourcebooks Project covers ancient, medieval, and modern history. The Project presents original source texts in a context that lends itself to use in the classroom. Of special note are saints’ lives and sources pertaining to the Roman Church and to Byzantium.
De Imperatoribus Romanis: An Online Encyclopedia of Roman Rulers and Their Families, is an online encyclopedia covering rulers of the Roman Empire from Augustus through Constantine XI Palaiologos (1453). Includes extensive maps, and information on political rulers and events.
Sources littéraires – Auteurs chrétiens provides a survey of the major collections of patristic texts and part of the Bibliotheca Classica Selecta, “a bibliographic introduction to classical studies.” This site also hosts pages on “Littérature chrétienne grecque et latine” and many related subjects.
