The Humanity of the Saints We Study: 2nd Annual Forum on the Vocation of the Patristic Theologian, Loyola University of Chicago, 25 May 2024

This forum invites graduate students and scholars of patristics to reflect on the nature of the craft and its relationship to contemporary theological studies, the academy, and church today. A panel of scholars, featuring Lewis Ayres, Paul Blowers, and Morwenna Ludlow, will speak on the nature of the vocation of the patristic theologian through an exploration of the intersection between the humanity within Christian history and the theology we derive from our study.

This reception and forum, following the annual meeting of the North American Patristics Society, is co-sponsored by the Sheptytsky Institute of Eastern Christian Studies and the Hank Center for the Catholic Intellectual Heritage at the Loyola University of Chicago. It will be held 25 May 2024 from 3:00-5:00 pm at Beane Hall, Lewis Towers, Loyola University of Chicago Water Tower Campus111 East Pearson St, Chicago, IL 6061.
